Socialise and Share

obstacle-647050_1280Getting together with a bunch of wonderful women this evening I realised how powerful it is when women come together and how necessary it is to socialise to share our hopes and fears.  We realise that we are not alone and that simply voicing any fears helps to take that fear away.

We spoke about ageing and our fears and beliefs around ageing.  Just talking and sharing gives strength and opens possibilities.  Women are natural encouragers.

Isolation is not healthy.  It’s good to have a safe place to share where you can be yourself and not just be known as someone’s spouse or mother or employee.  You are accepted in a caring community as you are and for who you are – no judgements.

We have so much to offer each other.

I look forward to our next get-together.

The theme for the talk is Putting Yourself First. Come join us at Le Physique, False Creek, 6.30pm April 13

  1. Thank you for doing this work Christine. I believe in it whole-heartedly. It’s good to have a place to join others and not feel like you are the only one in the world struggling with thoughts. I have found in the past that just by being in other’s presence a lot of the work is done for me through listening. Make it a great day.

    • Thanks for the encouragement Connie. I find what you say about a lot of the work being done for you by listening very valid. As an introvert I find that I gain more by listening even though I am often chastised by more extroverted personalities for “not participating”.
