  Friends and Neighbours

I count myself as the luckiest person in the world because I have the best friends and neighbours ever. No exaggeration.

My brother died in January, after a short illness, my mother died in March, age 98, and my nephew a few weeks ago.

The amount of support I’ve had during this time has been phenomenal.

Clearing out the family home has been a mammoth task – that generation threw nothing away.

A huge thank you to you all – you know who you are. Even if you think you may not have contributed much, a few kind words go a long way.

I have a lump in my throat as I write this because I could not have coped on my own.

It was challenging at times and it was made so much easier by the massive amount of support I’ve received. Sometimes it was from unexpected quarters and sometimes from complete strangers.

Yet from there, it’s a new start and exciting times ahead.

Change can be disruptive and it’s always worthwhile.
