Eat Proper Food
Summer is almost here and this is the best season of the year to take advantage of the ease of eating real food. Salad stuff and fresh fruit are everywhere – no cooking required. Buy as fresh as you can while there is still vitality in the produce. No worries about the much maligned fat, sugar and salt we hear so much about. Eat proper food that’s non-processed and guess what? So many health problems vanish, as Mark Bittman pointed out in today’s National Post.
Now is the time to get into good habits with very little effort.
Talking of effort – do your best to keep up your exercise regime going amidst all the distractions of summer. It’s so much harder to start again once you’ve stopped for a while than it is just to keep going. I can attest to this – I’ve just spent a month with my mother in England and getting the momentum back on my return is not easy. Besides, consistency is the one thing that will get you guaranteed results in your exercise regime. Keep going and you’ll get the reward – maybe not as fast as you might like in our instant gratification society, however, persist and you’ll get there. Be clear with your priorities.
Summer food is here, even if the summer weather is a little sketchy – make the most of what’s on offer. Your body will love you for it. Enjoy!
